ive been running around montreal doing just about everything so i havent had too much time to sit down and upload to the site.

SORRY!

we're doing some exercises to help get us interested in something peculiar we find in montreal. its a good start but im really ready to start the project.

we leave for new york in a week. daniel and josh (professors) listed off around thirty places we need to go within the five day trip. simply put, its going to be awesome.

went to the notre dame basilica today. got some amazing pictures that ill share on here. the organ was playing, there werent too many people, the lighting was just right, it was just a good time there. oh and it was the place celine dion was married............ yeah i dont care either but i guess its cool.

i finally got a bike yesterday so today was a long day of biking. we went to old montreal, habitat 67, and around the place de arts center. downhill paths are my friends. its amazing how many people fill this city, tourists, families, athletes, all sorts of people.

formula 1 racing is coming to montreal so there has been a huge rise in nice/exotic cars here. i saw around 8 ferraris, 2 lamborghinis, 4 really nice corvettes, and a LOT of nice bmws and audis. it was pretty sweet to see a couple ferraris roll down the cobblestone streets of old montreal.

im starting to orient myself a little better with the more places i go, i dont get lost every time i leave the room, just about 80% of the time.

so day one was spent without internet and without a clue. i found a classmate on one of my flights and went to customs with her in montreal where she was promptly escorted to the immigration offices. yikes. so i was on my own. again. still without a clue. thank god the taxi sign had a picture of a taxi

i was surprised to find how much french montreal speaks. there is VERY little english. my cab driver spoke no english and almost took me in the complete opposite direction. awesome.

the room im in is a little small but it has a bed so im happy. the building used to be a chocolate factory so it smells like chocolate all the time and they give out free chocol...... ok thats a lie. it doesnt smell like chocolate either. but it was a chocolate factory once.

i havent explored many of the restaurants but my first bite was a hot dog with mustard, sauerkraut, onions, and ....LOTS of french fries. yes, ON the hot dog.

im trying not to make this too long but today we went to our studio space and were assigned to get lost in downtown montreal. we did. very quickly. but we decided to follow a street and after maybe 3 miles, found out we were close to our apartment. success.

im packing up, getting really excited. the last day at home will be a great one, time with the family is always cherished but i just want to be there already!
